FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON – Niagara District Airport (YCM) is thrilled to see air access to Niagara as a priority of the Province of Ontario’s 2025 budget, announced this afternoon.
Nearing its 100th anniversary in 2029, NDA is operated by the Niagara District Airport Commission, consisting of the City of St. Catharines, the City of Niagara Falls, and the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. NDA continues to be an integral component of the Niagara region’s transportation industry for the movements of goods, services, and people, but recognizes that in order to effectively support Niagara’s half a-million residents and 13-million+ tourism industry, its infrastructure will need to grow.
NDA thanks Premier Doug Ford, Transportation Minister Prabmeet Singh Sarkaria, Tourism, Culture, and Gaming Minister Stan Cho, and Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy for their enthusiasm for enhancing air access to the Niagara region.
