Heavy overnight rainfall has caused significant flooding across Niagara-on-the-Lake, including at Niagara District Airport. This caused airport surfaces, including runways, aprons, taxiways, and parking lots to be closed for a period of time from August 2 to 4, 2026.
All airport surfaces are now open. Our parking lot is dry and fully accessible, with all flood-related impacts resolved.
Thank you to our airport users and partners for your patience and understanding over the past week. The safety of our passengers, tenants, and staff remained our top priority throughout the significant rainfall events that occurred.
We are pleased to resume normal operations at YCM.
